In accordance with the student exchange agreements signed by both parties, Minzu university of China (MUC) will accept the currently enrolled students from partner universities or institutions overseas to apply for inter- university exchange programs. Exchange programs usually extend for one semester or two semesters (one academic year). The fall semester starts from September to December and the spring semester starts from March to June in normal.
Optional Programs
1. Chinese language program. This program held by the international education college of MUC is open to exchange students. It is divided into four levels: beginner, elementary, intermediate and advanced. Each level has language skills training courses and Chinese culture practices and experiences. Generally, Chinese language courses are taught in 20 hours per week, 18 weeks per semester. The students who have completed the courses requirements can obtain their transcripts and certificates of completion at the end of the semester. This program cannot provide credits certificate. 2. Undergraduate program. All undergraduate courses in our university are open to exchange students. The exchange students can choose the courses which are correspond to their study in home university or the courses they have interest in. The students applying for this program are required to have HSK-5 certificate (≥180 score) or equivalent Chinese proficiency for all courses are taught in Chinese. After the students finish their exchange study and pass the evaluation, they will obtain their transcripts with credits certificate. 3. Postgraduate exchange program. The student should contact his/her potential supervisor in MUC and obtain the acceptance letter by the supervisor before applying. For more information, please contact the schools in our university which have signed the postgraduate exchange agreements.

Eligibility
1. Must be a currently enrolled university student (grade two or above);
2. Non-Chinese citizen.
Nomination
The coordinator of home university needs send the completed nomination form to non-degree@muc.edu.cn. Click Annex5in the attachments to download Template of Nomination Form.
Nomination Deadline
Fall semester: from April 1 to May 15th
Spring semester（next year）: from October 1 to November 15th
How to apply
1. Complete and submit application online via http://lxs.muc.edu.cn/member/login.do
2. Pay for the application fee.
3. Wait for the qualification review. Once the applicant admitted, the admission documents from MUC will be sent to home university no later than early January for spring program or early July for autumn program. The applicant can check the admission status via online application system.

1). ID photo with white background;
2). Photo page copy of passport (Chinese visa page if you have);
3). Certificate of enrollment (with Chinese or English translations);
4). Academic transcript from home university (with Chinese or English translations);
5). Personal Statement (with Chinese or English, including your academic background, application reasons, study plan etc.);
6). letters of recommendation (with Chinese or English translations, provided by the lecturer, professor or the International Cooperation Office of the home university);
7). HSK-5 certificate or equivalent proof of Chinese proficiency: necessary for undergraduate programs or postgraduate programs;
8). An acceptance letter by the post-graduate supervisor in MUC (with Chinese or English translations)： necessary for postgraduate exchange program

2. Tuition: It is subject to the inter-university exchange agreement.

Accommodation
Our international student apartment building (West Gate International House) is located outside the west gate of the campus. The room rate is as follows: single room (CNY 70/bed/day), double room (CNY 55/bed/day). The rooms are equipped with air conditioner, washing machine, refrigerator, kitchen, bathroom (with shower), bed, desk, wardrobe, and WiFi. For the students exempt from room fees, we will arrange accommodation for you according to the actual situation and do not guarantee specific room type.
Medical Insurance
According to the regulations of the People’s Republic of China, international students are required to purchase Chinese comprehensive medical insurance. Students should pay it upon registration.
